TALK: Discovery Projects! (AKA Best Practices on Destroying People’s Dreams)

January 1, 2015
Matt Wallens

What is a discovery project? You may not realize you’re doing it, but at some point during a project you have to think, “What are we designing and do users want it?” Maybe you make the answers up. Lots of people do.

Doing a formal discovery project at the beginning of a project that includes user research will give you and the client the confidence that you’re going down the right path. Or in some cases, you and the client will realize that the path they’re on is leading to a horrible pit filled with lava and spiders.

At this Meetup we’ll talk about the benefits for you and your client in doing discovery projects and share tips on how to do them efficiently and effectively.
